Implementation

Trails implementation requires consistent efforts to work with land owners, developers, canal companies, public land agencies, and various city departments to negotiate trail easements and pathway designs. Many community officials and staff that oversee planning and development in each jurisdiction are busy attending to other matters, and the trails coordinator will offer the following services to each community:

• Development of guidelines and ordinance language that enables trail right-of-ways
  Grant writing assistance
• Trails and trail facility design assistance
• Coordination and updating of the County-wide Trails Plan
• Website and updates with news, information, facts, and trail examples from other areas
