County-Wide Trails

Background

Since October of 2005 Cache County is pleased to provide our region with a Cache County-wide Trails Coordinator. This position was created in response to a 2004 Cache County public input process associated with the county parks and recreation master plan. This study represented public input from all jurisdictions throughout the county, and revealed trails development to be the top desired amenity for the future.

The county will coordinate the development of a county-wide trails master plan by assembling the trails and bike route plans from each community, agency, or private entity in the county. By working together, trail routes can connect communities, parks, public land areas, natural areas and other recreational areas for future generations to enjoy. With a new county-wide master plan, Cache County be pleased to aid communities throughout the region to seek grant funding for trails funding and implementation.
