Fairgrounds Mission Statement

The mission of Cache County Fairgrounds is to offer a variety of leisure and recreational services to all those who use the facility. Situated in its historical location the Cache County Fairgrounds contributes to the economic vitality of the community, promotes health and well-being, education tourism, and enhances quality of life.

Job Responsibilities:  Perform maintenance and upkeep on all buildings and equipment located at the Logan/Cache County Fairgrounds complex.

Certifications/Degrees:   Certified EMT-I, Advanced Scuba, member of the Cache County Search and Rescue, CPR Instructor.

Bart Esplin

Job Responsibilities:  Works directly with the public to insure that the Fairgrounds facility is prepared properly for their specific events and daily use. Mows lawns, trims plants, and shrubs. Operates equipment such as riding lawn mowers, tractors, skid steer loaders, and dump truck. Operates snow removal equipment. Applies insecticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. Performs maintenance repairs to equipment and facilities.

Certifications/Degrees:   BS Degree - USU, Welding Certificate, CDL & Tanker Endorsement, Pesticides License, First Aid and CPR Certified.

Wayne Murray

Job Responsibilities:  Supervises and performs a variety of buildings and grounds maintenance work including painting and plumbing repair. Does minor electrical work, trims shrubs, bushes, mows lawns and picks up trash. Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizer. Set up stages, seating, and display areas as needed. Repairs and paints picnic tables, and plows snow. Assigns and reviews work of subordinate staff.

Certifications/Degrees:   CDL, Brake Certification, First Aid and CPR Certified, Forklift Certified.
